Nippon Cinema Award

For the tenth time, the festival will see a winner of the NIPPON CINEMA AWARD. Once more, the prize money of 2,000 € is donated by Bankhaus Metzler from Frankfurt. All films in the NIPPON CINEMA section by Japanese directors that have been produced in Japan in 2013 or 2014 and that have at least their German premiere can participate in the competition. Out of 17 films, the audience can choose their favorite. The award ceremony will take place at Künstlerhaus Mousonturm on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 7:45 p.m., preceding the screening of LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON.
