Tokyo, autumn 2008: the streets of Shibuya, Shinjuku and Asakusa. Strutting along on the catwalks of their lives: kogals, ganguros, lolitas. They want to appear pretty, cute, childlike - “kawaii”. Tokyo is the ideal showcase for self-staging. But behind the flashy, we also find the idle: sleepers, readers, painters, all using the metropolis in their own way.
