An accompanying lecture to the IN & OUT OF JAPAN film program, this illustrated talk discusses the artistic output of Japanese filmmakers and artists who live or lived abroad from the 1950s and onwards. Julian Ross is a researcher, curator and writer. He recently completed his PhD on Japanese expanded cinema at the University of Leeds.
