Directory biography
Hirokazu KOREEDA, born in 1962 in Tokyo prefecture, is a Japanese film director, producer, screenwriter and editor. He studied literature at Waseda University until 1987, and subsequently directed documentaries for television. He switched to feature film directing in 1995 and has since won several international prizes, including awards in Cannes, Venice and San Sebastián.
