In attendance of Koji YAMAMURA we will show a retrospective of his works. Among others, these include the Academy Award nominated MT. HEAD, which was later awarded at numerous international film festivals. His works are influenced by European, Russian and Canadian animation filmmakers und stand out due to his different techniques. Since 2008 he has been teaching at the animation department at the Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Film and New Media in Yokohama.

Director biography
Koji YAMAMURA, born in Nagoya in 1964, made his first animation film at the age of 13 years and later studied painting at Tokyo Zokei University. He worked as an assistant at various animation studios and founded his own production company Yamamura Animation, Inc. in 1993.
